Saturday, March 9th: So this morning on a cold foggy drizzly day, I was tuning around 20m and heard WB6NOA calling CQ on 14.280. I answered and it was the legendary Gordon West asking if I would do a demo on ham radio to the general class he was teaching. I told them how much fun this was for me, the bands and modes I worked, the 145 DXCC I have, the Worked All States, all on a simple radio with a hunk of wire in some trees. Told them about my best QSO with a fellow in Israel, and about my QSO with an astronaut on the space station. Gordon thanked me for the great QSO and demo, I heard the class applauding in the background.

Me? Give a demo to a general license class? Wow…
