Black Canyon Run

Had a nice efficient run in gorgeous weather on May 12th. Could have used more club members for this, but with Chris WB0ITG setting up a repeater he built at the top of the “hill,” three radio operators (WB0ITG, Jerry – KD0CDA and KC0VQC) made it work. As back-up we were glad to hear Dick, KD0ESZ, monitoring from home to provide a land line connection in the event of an incident, as cell phone connectivity on the road to the Black Canyon is sparse. Did not witness any heart attacks or falls, the watering station personnel were friendly, having fun and well equipped this year, and everyone appeared to have a good time. Seems the last runners finished earlier than in prior years, as we were finished a little after 10 a.m. Thanks to Chris for honchoing the communications!
