President’s report 5-19-19

Good evening to everyone on the net.

Friday was our club meeting and we had 17 people in attendance including; 3 guests or hams that haven’t been around for a while. Our guests were, Jacob who’s working on his license, Jim KB0EMJ and Ralph KE0VSW.

The meeting was jam packed with information. In addition to our regular committee reports, we had info on Black Canyon Ascent, Museum Ship Weekend, Tail Gate and summary overview of CCARC meeting.

I’d also like to thank Joel KE0RHY who provided some really yummy homemade brownies, lemon bars and donuts!

Our treasurer John KB0RUD reported the club has purchased the combo prize for the tailgate prize which will be Alinco dual-band DMR HT and a complete, ready to go DMR, DStar, Fusion, etc hotspot.

MARC tailgate party will be on June 1, 0800-1100, in Delta at the Lions Club Pavillion.  Admission and one ticket are free.  Tables are $5.  Break

For our program Royce AA0JD went over details for Field Day which will be June 22-23, since our next meeting will be the Friday before.

Steve KI0KY went over some changes to Net Control procedures that the club will be implementing, that include; 3 second pauses to allow for anyone with emergency traffic. Break/break to be instituted for emergency traffic that needs to be passed and for non-emergencies please wait until net control calls for any additional stations to call in.
I’d like to encourage anyone that is interested to try their hand at being net control. Please let Dick KD0ESZ know so he can include you on the list.

Also just a reminder Museum ship weekend goes from Friday May 31st 1800 until June 2nd 1800. Please come out and help man the radio or log in contacts. If you’d like to sign up for a specific time slot please contact Lew K0LMF.

Also as a reminder all of our upcoming events can be located under the calendar tab.

That’s all I have for now.  KK6RNV back to net.
